THE BLACK DEATH! That is the accurate nickname of the infamous yet beautiful Black Mamba. Being one of the fastest moving, and one of the longest venomous snakes in the world, it earns itself an ominous reputation. This snake has been the subject of many African myths and has been blamed for thousands of human deaths. When a Black Mamba is threatened, it opens its mouth, showing the completely black interior. This contrast between its lightly colored lips and jet black mouth scare away any predator that dares to approach this snake. This particular elapid belongs to none other than my close friend Albert Killian, who has raised her from a little neonate.
