GARTER NOT GARDEN! I found this thick Eastern Garter snake looking for an exit inside the bathroom very early this morning. There is a gorgeous blue hint you can see all the way down the sides of this snake. This species is ovoviviparous which means the mother will give birth to live young, instead of laying eggs and waiting for them to hatch. A large garter snake mother can sometimes give birth to around 50 babies! Such common snakes are not given enough appreciation for their individual beauty.
