Rex American Crocodile

LONG NECK? MOTHER, WHAT’S A LOOONG-NECK? Good Morning everyone! This male Galapagos Tortoise I had the pleasure to hand feed was voracious. He was even trying to eat my camera. This one alone downed two full bushels of greens in about a minute. When I was watching these ancient looking tortoises standing up tall, being a couple hundred pounds, and walking around with their tall legs it was super cool! This species of tortoise has some of the oldest individuals on record compared to any other tortoise species, along with being the largest in size of known tortoise species that exists today. And the neck stretched up and out very far which reminded me of the brachiosaurs from a childhood favorite of mine, The Land Before Time. I had the best time ever meeting and hand feeding all these healthy giants from the San Diego Zoo. Thanks again for making us VIP’s there @eshort76 I will not soon forget this, and I truly cannot wait until I return to see all the other animals you guys have to offer over there.
