NOT TODAY! Saved this female from getting run over by flashing my brights at the oncoming car to get their attention, slowing down and pulling over, then grabbed her up and brought her where she was headed. Saving Turtles is cool!!
A TURTLE A DAY…Saved this little Florida Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina bauri) from getting hit on the road this morning and put him where he was headed. Great way to start a day! Yesterday I saved a Florida Snapper, and the morning before a Peninsula Cooter. All were found within the same mile stretch of road. I thought that was pretty cool. A new turtle species for every day it’s like a turtle Hanukkah.
