Ever since I was watching television as a kid I was obsessed with the San Diego Zoo and all the amazing individuals that lived there. Now, at the age of 22 I was not only able to finally go, but we had a hookup who got us 2 tickets and an insane special VIP tour behind the scenes. We hand fed the Largest and oldest tortoise species in the world, the Galapagos Tortoise! We got up close and personal with one of the world’s most mystic reptiles, the Tuatara! I was head over heels the whole time! We got to see their breeding pens and their backstage area was so well kept and beautiful. As someone who works with animals on a daily basis for public viewing, I can appreciate how stunning every last enclosure or tank in that facility was perfectly kept. The staff was both knowledgable and friendly. I can’t wait to come back. I don’t have my computer with me now but I’m going to upload all this incredible content as soon as I get back to Florida.
